What We Do

We grow brands - specialising in fashion, footwear, jewellery, beauty, lifestyle, home, baby and children.

Encapsulating what we do in two words we are, sales agents. But this is an over simplification, because to work online as a sales agent, we need to have many skills in other areas.

A traditional sales agent would put samples in the back of their car and drive round to all of the retailers in a 100 mile radius. Whereas we work globally, so we have a lot of skills in areas such as strategy, research and marketing, that are necessary to target and make contact with the most appropriate buyers for each brand.

Making contact with the best buyers for each brand is really only the first step in the sales processes that we manage. We employ our own version of the Miller Heiman sales methodology, with many bespoke changes for the fashion industry, to map our the hierarchies in larger retail organisations in order to unlock and maximise sales in each one.

We use our strategy skills to target retailers that will: generate cash-flow by giving us quick wins; help businesses to scale by yielding volume sales; or have the profile to increase each brand's shareholder value.

Our Philosophy

Selling wholesale is about building a relationship between a buyer and brand. This takes time, and personal direct interaction.

New technology such as AI, video conferencing and WhatsApp are helpful when employed in the right way, but a caring "old school" approach is something that is indispensable in wholesale sales.

We also partner with physical showrooms, sales agents and distributors in many regions worldwide, enabling us to offer a comprehensive service globally, and we are constantly looking to develop our partnerships echo-system.

A Global Footprint

The team behind Global Showroom started selling brands wholesale in the UK and Europe in 2018 and now have many contacts and a truly Global Footprint.

During the first two years of Covid, from 2019 through 2021, we were forced to move many aspects of our business online, because all of the traditional offline wholesale channels, such as trade shows and showrooms, were closed. By the end of 2021 we were working from Australia to Los Angeles.

In the second half of 2021 we had more orders from the Middle East than any other region, probably due to the fact that retailers worldwide were in a cash-flow crisis because no one knew if they would be open in Summer 2022, whereas the Middle East had no cash-flow problems due to their immense wealth from fossil fuels, principally oil and gas.

In February 2022 we moved to the Middle East, and for the next 2 years we developed our business across the UAE (inc Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

In November 2024 we moved into South East Asia, with a new base in Malaysia, on the border of Singapore, improving our coverage of the Asian fashion hubs - principally Singapore and Japan.

Since the uncertainty caused by recent tariff changes, we are very focussed on working with brands based outside Asia, as we believe that this is the best time since the end of WW2, for non-Asia brands to rapidly develop market share.
